HELGA 64 Bits?

- Windows in 64 Bit is always supported
- HELGA does not support MS Access in 64 Bit
Why?
HELGA is relying on 2 OCX components for the communication with the EMIT and/or SPORTident equipment. These OCX are only available in 32 Bits and they don't work in Access 64 Bits.
And just recently, the company SPORTident confirmed that their OCX is out of support for a long time already and that they cannot produce a 64 Bit OCX with reasonable effort.
The alternative programming interface is unfortunately not compatible with MS Access.
But there are no plans by Microsoft to discontinue MS Access in 32 Bits.

SI Reader writes the SI Cards into an MS Access database, and HELGA reads the data from there.
With this approach, the OCX can be removed from HELGA for a working solution in MS Access 64Bits edition.
More information later... release forseen in early 2026.
The OCX will remain in the 32Bits version, but will also support SI Reader too.

The link to "Sportident Reader" can be found on www.sportident.com/support/developers
The direct link is now: www.sportident.com/siupdate/si_readerui/...reader_setup_3.4.zip
Below is (part of) the message I got from Sportident:
thank you for letting us know ...... the link for downloading SPORTident Reader is working again. While the software is no longer actively supported, we understand that some existing solutions still rely on it, so we will make sure it remains available for download.
