250 unit from EMIT

Post by rma »

Question "Helga to EMIT"
Since several years, it becomes more and more difficult to can buy pc's (laptops) having a serial COM port to be used for the 250 or OLC units. - Until now, a typical workaround was to install a serial to USB converter. We have used this solution of a converter since a few years.

But today the situation is again more difficult because this kind of material can hardly be found, or without existing drivers for Windows Vista.

What can we expect for the (near) future ?

Answer "EMIT to HELGA"
A new USB-driver, which is compatible with Vista, has been released. This USB-driver works with all Emit equipment with USB-ports.

We also have a USB-version of the 250 unit for sale. The price is the same as for the RS232 version; NOK 810,-. Please find a picture of it attached.
Please note that this unit is not waterproof, and does not contain batteries, but get power through the USB-port.

from "EMIT to Helga"
This USB-device is not suitable for online control units since it has no battery and is not waterproof.
