HELGA goes SPORTident

With the coming release 2008/10, HELGA will be interfacing with EMIT and SPORTident! Thanks to the SPORTident team and Bruno Maes (ChronoRaid) who provided the necessary hardware and support, your favorite orienteering software is now able to connect with both major electronic punching systems on the market.
It is merely a switch in the Configuration screen which determines the choice of equipment. The communication with SPORTident is done through a Common Control file (OCX) coming together with a basic SI setup program.
The totality of features already known from HELGA is now at the disposal of SPORTident users too, including of course the various output files for split time analyses and web publishing.
The HELGA team is excited to see the first competitions or events organized with SPORTident and HELGA. Please let us know about your experiences!
Soon we will describe in more detail the technical details of SPORTident in connection with HELGA, like the necessary time synchronisation and configurations.
