HELGA release 2019/02

Post by mho »

The first release for 2019 is almost ready, and it comes with nice improvements!

- Relays can now be set to 1 runner, meaning it is a One-Man-Relay
- A search result in Persons can be exported as IOF XML file
- Course registration from O'Punch has been extended to also handle the non-affiliated runners in Belgian clubs
- Update member database (BEL only) gets a new button to also download the runners from the Luxembourg Orienteering Club. It's a first application of the data import via IOF XML files (<CompetitorList>)
- and two highlights..
A QR code can be selected and printed on the bottom of the split times tickets (and also selected PDF reports)
The default QR code points to https://helga-o.com/webres

A new tab is created in DataExchange (for SPORTident): SIReader
SIReader.jpg
It's interfacing the SIReader software, which is gathering data from all sorts of online, radio or GSM controls, and places them into an Access database.
When defining these controls, the START will update an empty start time in HELGA by the actual one.
CONTROL is a classic spectator or online control in the forest.
FINISH is the finish line.
The goal is to export all that intermediate data into a Snapshot XML file, that can feed online live result services, like for example LiveResults.
First tests will happen soon in Belgium. Come a have a look..

First "real-life" test with a SIGSM module today in the forest:
the whole chain: control SRR - SIGSM - SI Center - SI Reader - HELGA - LiveResults WORKED :D
.. but an insufficient network coverage has however spoiled the full live experience...
