Important change about the official result of the MEN Knock Out Sprint Final at ASOM2023. 2 runners finished disqualified by not punching a control following the passage through the arena, the organisation qualified these runners based on some information. IOF rule 20.5 clearly states there is no way the runner should be placed unless there is a clue the missing punch is not the runners fault, and a failure in the punching system. Based on a WRONG analysis of the situation (analysis of a wrong SI card), and after a testimony of one of the ASOM stewards, there was no reason to qualify the runners. Official results are therefor adapted, even if the prize giving ceremony was with the 'wrong' podium.
